Concept
The purpose of the 2024 NTrAMS II(21-24, August, 2024, Tokyo)is:
The Non-Traditional Arthropod Model Systems (NTrAMS) meeting aims to bring together scientists working on current experimental model systems in a variety of insects. Inspired by the previous international conference on the crickets (Tokushima, Japan 2012-2014), the first meeting was held at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine. The program included sessions on Evolution & Development, Neuroscience & Behaviour, and Resource Development & Techniques. Keynote speakers highlighted recent trends in research tools and applications used to investigate important questions in a variety of arthropods. Here we plan to hold the 2nd NTrAMS meeting at Waseda University in Japan. We expect speakers to talk about experimental arthropod model systems beyond the traditional ones. Through the meeting, we expect participants to share studies on the diversity and commonality of insects.
